Cindy Tucker

Cindy Tucker is an educational consultant affiliated with Targeted Leadership Consulting. With more than 30 years of experience in K-12 and post-secondary graduate education, she brings a unique set of skills and perspectives to her current work. She previously served on the Superintendent’s Executive Cabinet as Associate Superintendent in Fresno Unified School District, California’s fourth largest urban system, where she oversaw schools and the related support services to schools.

Prior to working in Fresno, she was on the Elk Grove Unified School District Superintendent’s Cabinet, where she led curriculum and professional learning. In both districts, student achievement steadily rose during and subsequent to her tenure. As a school principal, she led her school to a California Distinguished School Award, a designation earned that year by only three Sacramento County schools.

For more than a decade, Cindy has been an Adjunct Faculty Member with San Francisco State University, California State University, Sacramento, and California State University, Fresno, conceptualizing, designing and teaching courses for administrative candidates and teacher interns.

Over the past several years, Cindy has worked directly with the Targeted Leadership team on projects in Mililani, Oahu, Hawaii; Roosevelt, Oahu, Hawaii; Kauai Public Schools, Kauai, Hawaii; Santa Fe Unified in Santa Fe, New Mexico; and Wilkinsburg Schools in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  She is also engaged in leadership coaching and school renewal work  for new and veteran administrators throughout Sonoma County, California.
